One Response to “The ZTeam Gets Our Flu Shots (& You Should Too)”

You are right, you won’t get the flu from the shot… but getting it years in a row makes you more susceptible to the strains you’ve been vaccinated against in the previous years…

“In an even more unusual finding, people who were vaccinated 3 years in a row—in the 2012-13, 2013-14, and 2014-15 seasons—appeared to have a higher risk of being infected with the dominant flu strain in the latter season”

…or you’ll catch some other respiratory infections which you’ll be 4 times more at risk to catch:

«However, participants who received TIV [trivalent influenza vaccine] had higher risk of ARI associated with confirmed noninfluenza respiratory virus infection (RR, 4.40; 95% CI, 1.31–14.8).»

But why let science interfere with such a witty monologue…

Good luck with your vaccines! 😉
